A stormwater tank is an essential piece of infrastructure, but much of its operation takes place underground and is difficult to observe during a visit. The challenge was to explain the journey of the water to institutional and school audiences without having fully defined technical documentation.<\/p>\n
An experience was developed comprising a conceptual scale model, an interactive digital 3D model and a 43-inch touchscreen lectern<\/strong>. The physical layer provides context, while the digital layer allows visitors to explore each part and understand the different stages of the process.<\/p>\n The interaction synchronises the content with the lighting of the scale model<\/strong>. From rainfall and collection through to processing, filtration and reuse, visitors follow a clear sequence rather than receiving an abstract explanation.<\/p>\n The production process required the system to be reconstructed using photographs, old plans and meetings with the technical team. This interpretative work made it possible to turn fragmented information into a coherent and educational representation.<\/p>\n Installed at the stormwater tank itself, the solution is used for institutional visits and school trips.
